Hygge in the Early Years

I’m really excited to tell you that over the next year or so Little Gulls will begin a brand new journey as I study for the Hygge in Early Years Accreditation.

Hygge is the Danish approach to life that focuses on having a happier and more simple life, using elements of warmth, cosiness and nature to make the most of every day of the year. As I move through the training I will learn about changes I can make to the learning environments and our session rhythms to bring in more calmness.

One of the reasons I have chosen to get Hygge in the Early Years training is the focus on wellbeing, alongside learning. A big part of the training will also look at supporting the wellbeing of all Little Gulls staff and the families that attend, by gaining an understanding of how we can promote more self care.

As I progress with this journey, I’ll keep you updated here on the blog and through the Little Gulls Social Media. I will also share some hygge tips to help you too!

If you have any questions or would like to know more please just get in touch.
